About me

Allow me to introduce myself!

My name is Gabrielle Costanza, but you can call me Gabby.

I am a rising fourth-year undergraduate student at Rutgers University. I am a DCIM minor in addition to an Acting BFA.
I knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue a career in theater. I am from Manalapan, New Jersey (near Freehold). I attended Howell High School to study in their performing arts program, FPAC. To answer some questions I usually get when I tell people my major;

No, I don't do musicals.

Yes, I prefer plays to film.

Yes, I do like Hamilton.

I don't know who my favorite actor is.

Marvel movies are great.

Great! Now we've got that out of the way. I decided to start a DCIM minor during my second year because I realized that I am drawn to other aspects of theater besides acting. Mainly, casting and directing. I thought a communications-based minor would help me strengthen skills if I decided to go down one of these paths. Recently, I've been looking into Master's programs in directing and am feeling very called to that. But who knows!

If you've attended Mason Gross shows before, you may have seen me as Carol in "Hurricane Diane" Fall 2025 or Guildenstern in "Hamlet" Spring 2026.

Outside of theater, I love going to museums- both art and history. I studied abroad in Berlin and was very moved by the art I saw there. I'd love to direct German plays one day. I also love spending time with my family, my parents, two younger sisters, and two dogs. Also my roommates, my partner, and our apartment cat, Martin.

I want this blog to be a space to connect! I want to feel connected to a wide variety of people even if we are never in the same room. Connection will be a big theme of this site so get ready! My instagram is @gab.costanza, I'd love to connect with you further on there.
